A security guard at AK Steel was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after she allegedly allowed her cousin to sleep in her car at work.
Middletown police received a call from the girl’s mother stating her 15-year-old daughter was not at school on Wednesday and she had left during the night, according to the police report.
The mother told police she believed her daughter was with Aryn Shepherd, 22, of Middletown, a security guard at AK Steel. Police called AK Steel and an employee there told police the juvenile was sleeping in the car.
When police questioned the juvenile, she told them she didn’t want to go to school and her cousin, Shepherd, told her she could sleep in her car.
The juvenile was charged with unruly juvenile, the report said.
