A fast-food restaurant manager told Middletown police that after bank deposits were “coming up short” she checked the business’s surveillance video and saw an employee allegedly stealing money from a safe.

The manager at Steak ‘n Shake, 3170 Towne Blvd., told police that after watching the video, she saw an employee open the safe and steal money.
She said $618 was missing from the safe.
No charges have been filed, according to Middletown police.
