One person has died in a construction accident this morning on Eaton Avenue in Hamilton, according to police.
Sgt. Rich Burkhardt said a construction worker was hit by a construction vehicle and was killed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is on the scene investigating.
Dispatchers received the call about about 6:54 a.m. Eaton remains closed between Mark and Haldimand due to the crash.
Police and City Manager Joshua Smith are advising drivers to found an alternate route this morning.
