Middletown police looking for shooting suspect

Middletown police are searching for a suspect believed to be involved in a shooting Wednesday night.

Police are looking for Scott Alexander Jones Jr., who allegedly shot someone in the leg in the 2100 block of Hill Street, said Middletown police Chief David Birk.

When questioned by police, the man found lying on a porch said he didn’t know who shot him or what happened, according to the police report.

Witnesses told police they heard three gun shots and saw a car leaving the scene with no headlights on.

A bullet hole was found in a vacant residence in the 2100 block of Hill Avenue and police recovered three shell casings, the report read.
