The protected person is elderly, according to Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell.
Phillips allegedly that he committed the crimes this year between May 28 and May 31. He is scheduled for arraignment on Aug. 10 in Warren County Common Pleas Court.
Fornshell told this news organization that Phillips was forging the signatures of customers and adding tips on the receipts for credit card purchases.
“He was bringing back much higher tips than everyone else,” Fornshell said, noting it was noticed by the manger.
“They caught him pretty quick,” Fornshell said.
