Hamilton police arrest man for refusing to leave courts building after struggle with officer

Hamilton police arrested a man shortly after 11 a.m. today after he refused to leave the courts at the city/county administrative towers.

There was a brief struggle with the man, who was told to leave the courts area and refused to do so, police said.

“They got into a little scuffle,” said police spokesman, Sgt. Richard Burkhardt.

The officer and the man who was arrested, whose name was not available, both refused treatment by an emergency squad, he said.

The man was taken into custody, but Burkhardt said he did not know what charges would be filed against him.
