Counterfiet bills used at fast-food restaurant, worker reports

Four $20 counterfeit bills were used at Taco Bell, 819 High St., Tuesday during the lunch rush hour, an employee reported.

Identify theft strips St. Clair Avenue woman’s bank account of more than $350. The 20-year-old reported omeone used her personal information to open an account with Time Warner Cable. The theft was discovered after the company performed a background check.

A $600, 50-inch TV was stolen from the Heaton Street home, a woman reported. She said the suspect took the television to a pawn shop.

May 4

Woman says her daughter stole a camera and DVD player from her home in the 400 block of Hampshire Drive. The woman said she received a text message saying her daughter attempted to sell the items for narcotics.
