Bond set at $250K for Trenton man charged with bank robbery

A 36-year-old Trenton man has been arrested this morning for allegedly robbing a Trenton bank on Dec. 16, police said.

Trenton police arrested Dustin F. Pedersen for the robbery at the Fifth Third Bank on West State Street. They received information Friday from the community in reference to Pedersen’s possible involvement in the robbery, police said.

Police issued a search warrant and uncovered “items” that allegedly connected Pedersen to the robbery, said Lt. David Rosenfelder. He did not say what items were found.

Pedersen was charged with one count of aggravated robbery and is being held in the Middletown City Jail. His arraignment was held Saturday morning in Middletown Municipal Court because Monday is a holiday. His cash bond was set at $250,000.

On Friday morning, the US Bank on Tylers Place Boulevard was robbed and the suspect was wearing a Titleist golf hat.

According to Trenton police, the man who robbed Fifth Third Bank at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 16 was wearing an orange Titleist hat, gray jacket and sunglasses.
