3 arrested in ‘major drug trafficking’ bust in Middletown

Middletown police have made several arrests for “major drug trafficking” in the Middletown and Warren County areas, according to Middletown Police Chief Rodney Muterspaw.

The department’s Special Operations Team worked with the Warren County Drug Task Force, Ohio State Patrol, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the FBI, he said.

The investigative partnership among Middletown, Warren County and the federal law enforcement agencies resulted in the seizure Thursday of more than a kilo of fentanyl, along with several guns, including some stolen, police said.

Muterspaw said the investigation is ongoing with possibly more arrests expected in the near future.

Those arrested: Estavian Glenn, 23, of Middletown, 23, charged with drug trafficking; Dalaquan Wright, 22, of Middletown, charged with drug trafficking; and Mckenna Sparks, Middletown, charged with permitting drug abuse.

Glenn and Wright, both Warren County Jail inmates, are scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon and Sparks is in Middletown City Jail.
