All-JN girls hoops team

COACH OF THE YEAR

Andy Fishman, Lakota West – Led the Firebirds to a 22-6 record and a spot in the Division I regional finals, where they lost to eventual state champion Princeton. Fishman is the only coach in West history and stands 285-120 in 17 seasons. He graduated from John Bowne High School in Queens, N.Y., and has bachelor’s (special education) and master’s (neurological learning disabilities) from Brooklyn College. Fishman teaches special education at West, lives in West Chester Twp., and has a wife (Felice) and three children (Rylee, 21; Blake, 17; Tate, 12).

Lauren Cannatelli, Lakota West, 5-8, junior, guard – Associated Press Division I All-Southwest District third team. Greater Miami Conference first team. Committed to University of Dayton.

Adrianna Moore, Preble Shawnee, 5-8, junior, guard – Associated Press Division III All-Ohio honorable mention, All-Southwest District second team. Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division first team.

Ana Richter, Talawanda, 6-1, senior, forward – JournalNews All-Area Player of the Year. Associated Press Division I All-Ohio honorable mention, All-Southwest District second team. Southwest Ohio Conference Player of the Year. Committed to Miami University.

Abby Wolford, Cincinnati Christian, 5-7, senior, guard – Associated Press Division III All-Ohio third team, All-Southwest District first team. Miami Valley Conference Gray Division Player of the Year. Committed to Cedarville University.

Kelly Wurth, Springboro, 5-8, sophomore, guard – Associated Press Division I All-Ohio honorable mention, All-Southwest District second team. Greater Western Ohio Conference Player of the Year.
