Roundup: Late score lifts Badin in GCL Central opener

Cody Boxrucker scored on a 2-yard run with 8:36 left to play to lift visiting Badin to a 21-14 victory over Roger Bacon in the Greater Catholic League Central Division opener for both teams.

Boxrucker finished with 107 yards on 27 carries for the Rams (4-0, 1-0 GCL Central). The Spartans fell to 2-2, 0-1.

Zach Larkin tossed a 19-yard TD pass to Cole Heflin and Philip Dozier returned a punt 99 yards for a score for BHS.

Marcus Woodward rushed for two third-quarter touchdowns as Roger Bacon rallied from a 14-0 halftime deficit.

Lakota East 20, Mason 3: David Chenault rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns as the host Thunderhawks won their Greater Miami Conference opener to remain unbeaten.

Grant Smith booted two field goals for East, which limited Mason to 74 total yards. The Thunderhawks are 4-0, 1-0, while the Comets fell to 2-2, 0-1.

Waynesville 38, Carlisle 21: Troy Black passed for 213 yards and four touchdowns as the host Spartans knocked off the Indians in Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division play.

Ridge Reed rushed for 126 yards and two TDs for Carlisle (1-3, 0-1). Waynesville is 3-1, 1-0.

Valley View 55, Dixie 0: Jake Neatheron and Austin Lewis rushed for two touchdowns and Clay Smith threw two touchdown passes to Cole Smith as the Spartans moved to 4-0.
