Richardson said the inmate became ill Tuesday and was transported for medical care. She was released from jail custody on Wednesday, he said.
Richardson would not disclose information about the inmate, including her name, age or nature of illness, but said the woman’s death is suspected to be from natural causes.
The Warren County Sheriff’s office will conduct a death investigation, Richardson said on Friday.
