These 12 road closures may impact your drive this week

The spring road construction season is underway.

Here are some road closings that may impact your drive this week:

TRENTON: Ohio 73

Resurfacing of Ohio 73 will begin May 1, starting with project-related sign installation.

Ohio 73 will be resurfaced from the city of Trenton northern corporation line near the Community Christian Church to Hathaway Drive.

Lane restrictions will be in place daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 4-30. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times using flagging operations, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

HAMILTON: Main Street

Main Street between Eaton Avenue and "D" Street will be subject to westbound lane closure starting April 30 through Aug. 17.

Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Park Avenue.

Periodic closures of North "F" Street and North "E" Street at Main Street will also occur.

The lane closure is necessary for installation of new 12-inch water main and new street lights, according to the city.

HAMILTON: North Monument Street

Lane restrictions will be in place along North Monument Street between High Street and Market Street daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30 through May 2.

The lane restrictions are due to a concrete restoration project, according to the city.

HAMILTON: Market Street

Market Street between North Monument Street and Riverfront Plaza will be subject to a lane restriction daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 30 through May 2.

HAMILTON: Millville Avenue

Lane restrictions will be in place along Millville Avenue from Main Street to Ross Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily May 2 and May 3.

Two-way traffic will be maintained, with signs and flaggers used to direct traffic, according to the city.

HAMILTON: Elm Street

Closure of Elm Street from North Erie Boulevard to Heaton Street has been extended to 4 p.m. May 4.

The road closure is part of the 2017 Miscellaneous Gas Main Replacement Project, according to the city.

HAMILTON: North Second Street

North Second Street from Buckeye Street to Dayton Street will be subject to daily closures from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 30 through May 2.

The closure is due to a concrete restoration project, according to the city.

HAMILTON: Erwin Street

Erwin Street from North Second Street to North Third Street will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 30 through May 4.

The closure is due to a concrete restoration project, according to the city.

ROSS TWP.: Layhigh Road

Layhigh Road will close southeast of Windy Knoll Drive and northwest of School Road for a culvert replacement beginning May 2, according to the Butler County Engineer’s Office.

The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of May 7.

OXFORD TWP.: Shadowy Hills Drive

Shadowy Hills Drive will close between the Oxford corporation limit and Bonham Road for maintenance and roadway repairs by the Oxford Township Road Department.

Shadowy Hills will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 30 through May 4.

Access will be maintained for local residents and businesses; however, thru traffic will be required to use alternate routes, according to the Butler County Engineer’s Office.

BUTLER/PREBLE COUNTIES: Ohio 744

Railroad maintenance requires closing Ohio 744, under U.S. 127 at the Butler/Preble county line, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. April 30 until approximately 3 p.m. May 5.

WARREN COUNTY: Western Row Road

Bridge work requires various short-term full closures on Western Row Road this week.

Various 15-minute full closures on Western Row Road between Cintas Boulevard and Kings Island Drive/Interstate 71 ramps will take place nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. April 30 through May 5.

Traffic will be maintained by law enforcement officers, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
