Ross Schools, community holding discussion on addiction

Ross Twp. Administration, Ross Local Schools, and Community First Solutions are collaborating to raise awareness of addiction and provide community education aimed at prevention and treatment.

“A Community Conversation on Addiction” will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Ross High School Preforming Arts Center, 3601 Hamilton Cleves Road.

Ross Fire Chief Steve Miller, Ross Police Captain Jack Tremain, and Community First Solution counselor Greg Corban will discuss the impact addiction has had on the Ross Twp. community, and share information about recognizing and overcoming addiction.

Attendees may also explore the Butler County Coalition for Healthy, Safe and Drug-free Communities “Hidden in Plain Sight” traveling exhibit at this event.

This interactive display features an average teenage bedroom, and is designed to help parents identify ways that teens may hide drugs, alcohol, or other risky behaviors.

All are welcome to attend the free community event.
