Will rain ruin your New Year’s Eve plans?

On the morning of New Year’s Eve, temperatures will likely start near the mid-30s under mostly cloudy skies. Near sunrise, a low pressure system will introduce warm air and moisture into the Miami Valley, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Jesse Maag said.

Models are in agreement that the Miami Valley will see rain and plenty of it throughout the day Monday.

Dayton could see totals between 1-2’’ of rain with this system.

Temperatures are expected to climb into the lower 50s, but depending on the exact track of the storm, we could see ever warmer temperatures.

Rain showers will continue even after the sun sets.

Neither storms nor winds are expected to accompany the rain on New Year’s Eve.
