Undercover investigation: West Chester couple arrested, cocaine and meth seized

A lengthy undercover operation led to the arrests Tuesday of a West Chester Township couple in connection with drug charges.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said the Butler Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force working in conjunction with the Cincinnati Police Gang Unit arrested Tremel Guyton, 40, in Cincinnati.

Guyton was booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center for Felony Trafficking in Drugs after a traffic stop.

Also arrested was Monique Reed, 30, who was apprehended in the 6000 block of Founders Row in West Chester Twp. after a search warrant at her residence.

Reed was booked into the Butler County Jail on two counts of aggravated possession of drugs - cocaine and methamphetamine, said Jones.

Additional charges, said Jones, will likely be added at grand jury on both individuals.

Seized was approximately 1.5 kilos of cocaine, a half kilo of methamphetamine, more than $7,000 in cash, a Glock handgun with a loaded extended clip 30 round magazine, marijuana, a hand press and scales, he said.

“The BURN Taskforce and Cincinnati Police Gang Unit made a substantial impact yesterday in the fight against drugs on the streets of West Chester Township and the City of Cincinnati. When agencies work together and communicate, great things can happen,” said Jones.
