Fast food chain building ‘latest prototype’ location in Butler County

Burger King is constructing a new location at Hamilton Middletown Road in Liberty Twp.

The township already has a Burger King, but that location is in Liberty’s southeast, several miles away from the one being built in the community’s northwest.

The new location should open this year, according to Amanda Aldridge, a real estate manager with Syracuse, NY-franchisee Carroll Corporation, which owns and operates more than 1,000 restaurants under the Burger King and Popeye brands.

“It will be our latest prototype with our latest technology,” Aldridge said.

New Burger King locations typically hire between 35 and 40 people, she said.

Founded in 1954, The Burger King brand is the second largest fast food hamburger chain in the world with more than 17,700 locations in more than 100 countries and U.S. territories.

Almost 100 percent of Burger King restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees.
