Residents outraged by ‘rude’ letter from apartment manager

Residents in a Clayton County, Georgia, apartment community say the latest letter from their property manager is the last straw.

Residents at Pine Estate Apartments in Riverdale, Georgia, told WSB-TV that the manager behaved in an unkind and inappropriate way.

Resident Jendayi Talibah and her neighbors showed WSB-TV letter after letter that apartment management has left on their doors.

“His rudeness toward the people is just unbelievable,” Talibah said.

The latest letter suggested that residents who approached management with a “hostile” attitude would get their leases terminated.

“If you feel as if your unit is uninhabitable, turn in your keys and move,” the letter said.

WSB-TV tried calling and visiting the management office during business hours, but no one was around, a situation which residents said is common.

There was evidence that some empty units are getting attention with attempts at renovating, but residents said the inhabited ones are not.

“He is always threatening (us) with eviction,” one resident said.

Residents’ options are becoming scarce.

“(I'll) probably (have to) move back in with my mom,” one resident said.
