She was originally appointed to the Board of Park Commissioners in 2009 to complete the unexpired term of Kathleen Klink after she became a member of Hamilton City Council.
Trokhan was appointed to full terms on the board in 2010 and in 2014 by Rogers.
An attorney with the law firm Parrish Marcum Hirka & Trokhan, Trokhan served as MetroParks Board of Park Commissioners President during 2017.
According to MatroParks officials, Trokhan’s dedication to fulfilling the duties and responsibilities associated with serving as a member of the Board of Park Commissioners is evident in the progress made by the park system during her tenure and her dedication to assuring that quality park facilities exist and exceptional experiences within the parks are available to park customer/owners.
She also has been instrumental in supporting the park system’s goal of contributing a positive economic impact to the region, officials said.
MetroParks is a separate political subdivision of the State of Ohio and was established to complement the work of state and local communities. MetroParks was organized to provide parks and recreation services to the citizens of Butler County and is governed by a three-member volunteer board of park commissioners appointed by the Butler County Probate Court.
