Police Chief Mike Dickey said this is the first time in about 15 years the department has hosted a National Night Out. He said during this “era,” it’s important to gain the trust of residents and to show them how the department spends its tax revenue.
Music, food trucks and more will be available. In addition to meeting with officers, people also will be able to tour the department, see police vehicles, watch police canine demonstrations, meet member of the police bike patrol, and learn more about the city’s Explorer program for youth.
