Middletown police and fire officials confirm two boaters made it safely out of the Great Miami River.
Crews searched the river after an overturned kayak was spotted in the water.

Middletown and Monroe fire and rescue units are at the scene of an overturned kayak in the Great Miami River.

The boaters are believed to be out of the water, but units are at the Trenton bridge looking for possible boaters still in the water, according to dispatchers.
The Monroe River Rescue Unit is on standby at 14th Avenue and South Main Street.
