Kocevar is accused of raping multiple victims while in high school between 2012 and 2016.
Kocevar joined the Waynesville Police Department in 2019.
“I commend and support the many victims who have come forward to disclose incidents where this defendant forced himself upon them,” said Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. “I will continue to encourage anyone who has been abused by this defendant to contact the Centerville Police Department.”

Kocevar’s attorney, Jon Paul Rion, said his client denies the accusations.

“These charges come as a great surprise to him, so we are very curious to see the nature of the allegations and intend to defend against them,” Rion said.
Centerville police began their investigation earlier this month after two women reported that they were raped by Kocevar.
“Following these reports, six additional adult female victims also reported rapes against Peyton J. Kocevar that occurred between 2012 and 2016,” read a Kettering Municipal Court affidavit.
He is scheduled to be arraigned July 9.
