Warren County man allegedly threatened to post teen sex video

A 20-year-old Warren County man has been accused of threatening for 10 months to spread a video of a juvenile “engaging in sexual activity.”

Rondell D. Thomas was indicted on charges of extortion and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor from Oct 2017 to July 2018, according to a list of indictments released this morning by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

“The defendant made threat to disseminate the video,” added a description provided with the indictment list.

According to jail records, Thomas was arrested on July 19 in Landen-Deerfield Park in Deerfield Twp. by sheriff’s deputies.

The case was originally filed in Mason Municipal Court on July 20, according to the list. He was also charged with no valid driver’s license.

The alleged victim is a 17-year-old boy, according to prosecutors.

The case was bound over to the grand jury on July 26.

Today, Thomas was in the Warren County Jail awaiting arraignment on Wednesday in Warren County Common Pleas Court. Bond was $10,000.
