One person is dead and two men are facing charges after a Hamilton motorcycle crash Tuesday night that started with a traffic stop by police.
The video above from the Hamilton Police Department captures police officers’ initial traffic stop of three motorcyclists. Then, after fleeing that traffic stop, a police cruiser camera captures one of the motorcycles crashing into an embankment at a high rate of speed.
The man who crashed died at the scene, police said, despite officers’ attempts to administer lifesaving measures.
Another motorcyclist at the crash scene attempted to flee on foot, but officers caught him after a short chase.
The two surviving motorcyclists — Kyle Ramey, 27, of Harrison, and Anastasio Camacho, 31, of Versailles, Ind. — were taken into custody and are charged with obstruction of business and failure to comply.
