A 62-year-old Fairfield woman crossing Bibury Road near Wessel Drive in Fairfield on Monday night was struck by a car and later died, according to police.

Maryann Rapien was struck around 7:35 p.m. Monday by a 2003 silver Chevrolet Impala traveling north on Bibury Road.

Rapien was taken to University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital. She died on Tuesday from those injuries, according to Fairfield police.

The crash remains under investigation.
