Police arrested Jonathan Pierson for two counts of criminal damaging. Pierson allegedly kicked a hole in a motel room door located in the 2400 block of North Verity Parkway. According to a police report, Pierson also broke a front window to a room.
Jan. 11
An assault was reported in the 3000 block of Navaho Street. According to a police report, two men — Justin Shuemake said Matt Boatrite Jr. — were fighting. Shuemake said Boatrite punched him in the face. Boatrite told officers that Shuemake hit him in the stomach and rib area.
Jan. 12
Officers responded to a house in the 3100 block of Andrew Street for a report of a burglary. The victim told police someone entered the home after breaking two windows. Prescription medication was reported stolen.
Officers arrested Natalie Blevins, of Hill Avenue, for possession of drug instruments, obstructing official business and a bench warrant through the Middletown Police Department for $1,075 and also a holder for non support through the county.
Officers executed a search warrant at a house in the 2800 block of Grand Avenue, where they found digital scales, a crack pipe, two boxes of .38 caliber ammunition and a hand gun. Officers arrested Darby Smith for weapons under disability, obstructing official business, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Someone called officers and told them a woman was eight months pregnant and “shooting up heroin.” Officers arrested Lori Carter for having outstanding warrants.
A woman told officers she gave a man oral sex in return for a double cheeseburger meal and that no money was involved. Officers observed a man and a woman in the backseat of a car parked at a McDonald’s parking lot, 2351 N. Verity Parkway. Officers said they saw the woman lift her head up and then wipe her mouth. Officers said they then saw the man pull up his pants. Officers told the man and the woman that a McDonald’s parking lot is “not the place to be doing that.”
Jan. 13
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Fairfield Avenue for an attack by a dog. According to a police report, Christopher Ash sustained a bite on his fingers and calf area. Ash told officers he walking his female pit bull in an alley when two dogs that were chained up outside got loose and attacked him and his dog.
Jan. 15
Officers attempted to stop Demetrys Adams, but he ran away before officers could catch him. According to a police report, officers entered an apartment in the 400 block of Crawford Street and saw a marijuana pipe and a burnt spoon. Adams entered the apartment but ran away as soon as he saw officers. Officers said Adams threw items from his pocket and jumped a six-foot privacy fence. Officers tried to use a Taser but that attempt failed. Officers used dogs to help track Adams, but they still could not find him.
Jan. 18
Dozens of items, including hunting knives, a digital camera and video games, were reported stolen from a house in the 1200 block of Forrer Street. The victim said his front door was unlocked and open when he returned home. According to a police report, the suspects entered through a side door by taking a brick and knocking the window frame out.

Jan. 16
An assault was reported in the 800 block of North East Street. The victim said someone punched him in his face.
A fight happened at a birthday party in the 800 block of North East Street. The victim said the suspect pulled a knife from his pocket and then held it against the victim’s left side. According to a report both the victim and suspect tried to hit each other. The victim said the suspect tried to cut him with the knife.
Jan. 17
Copper piping was reported stolen from a basement in the 1300 block of South 13th Street.
A man returned home from Fort Hamilton Hospital and told police someone broke into his house and stole several items, including money, gift cards and prescription pills. According to a polcie report, while the victim was in the hospital he let the suspect borrow his keys. A window in the foyer area was broken, and there were no other signs of forced entry.
A burglary was reported at an apartment on Bryant Lane. A TV and DVDs were reported stolen from the apartment.
Jan. 18
Someone walked out of the Meijer store located at 1560 Main Street with a bucket of fried chicken without paying for the food.
Jan. 19
A man told police someone fired a gun in the 900 block of Mark Avenue. According to the police report, the suspect fired a shot damaging the house’s wall and siding.
Jan. 20
A woman told police someone was waiting for her in front of her house in the 1600 block of Shuler Avenue. According to the police report, the suspect grabbed the victim by the throat and then “slammed her to the ground.”
Someone broke into Pediatric Associates, 188 North Brookwood Avenue, Suite 200 and stole an unknown amount of cash.
Police responded to a burglary report in the 1100 block of Azel Avenue. Someone kicked in the back door and stole 180 Oxycodone pills and 60 oxycontin pills.
A suspect displayed a gun and demanded cash at Minnicks Drive Thru, 810 Heaton Street. The suspect grabbed the money from the cash drawer and then ran away toward the rear of the store.
A robbery was reported near the intersection of Brookwood Avenue and Glencross. The victim said someone pushed her on the ground and then stole her purse. Several items were in her purse, including money, prescription medication and her driver’s license.
