A member of the Oxford Presbyterian Church, 101 N. Main St., told police the events had occurred between 10 p.m. Sept. 6 and 10 a.m. Sept. 7. The officer was shown two concrete benches knocked over and then told a sandwich had been thrown at a church door. A small amount of food was left on the door, according to a police report.
The officer assisted the church member in standing the benches back up and found no permanent damage to them or the door.
