2 arrested in Middletown robberies after masks, BB guns and cash seized

A Middletown man and a teen were charged Tuesday with two counts of aggravated robbery after they allegedly robbed two Middletown businesses Monday.

Austin Getter, 20, and a 15-year-old juvenile were “peacefully taken into custody” at a Middletown residence, according to police.

The 15-year-old was taken to Butler County Juvenile Detention Center on Tuesday and appeared for a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday. The hearing was continued until June 21 and the teen was returned to juvenile detention, according to court records.

A search warrant was executed at the residence and masks, realistic looking BB guns and money were recovered, police said.

“We are happy to get these individuals off the street so quickly and thank everyone that gave information about these crimes,” Maj. Scott Reeve said in a press release.

Anyone with additional information should contact Detective Brook McDonald at 513-425-7745.
