A Middletown neighborhood sign was vandalized last week, but residents quickly painted over the graffiti.
Middletown police responded to the Manchester Manor neighborhood on July 8 on a report of vandalism to a vehicle, according to police. While investigating, an officer noticed the large wooden sign was sprayed painted.

Over the weekend, the graffiti was covered up, according to residents.
The case was turned over to detectives this morning, police said.
