Man, 31, indicted in stabbing case

HAMILTON — A man accused of stabbing a man several times last month has been indicted by a Butler County grand jury on felony charges.

William Edward Pearson, 31, 1108 Ludlow St., is now facing charges of felonious assault, attempted murder and aggravated burglary.

According to Hamilton police, Pearson stabbed Shawn R. Davis on the night of March 22, using a folding knife.

Davis was stabbed in the neck and head, and had to be flown to University Hospital in Cincinnati, where he underwent surgery. He recovering from his wounds, police said.

Hamilton police said the assault occurred after Davis asked Pearson to leave his South B Street apartment.

Pearson, who remains housed in lieu of a $40,000 bond in the Butler County Jail, is scheduled to be arraigned May 5 before Butler County Common Please Judge Keith Spaeth.
