Hamilton police reports

Feb. 24

A jacket, a hoodie, a pair of meat scissors and a pair of tennis shoes were taken from a vehicle parked in a carport in the 1200 block of Oakmont Drive.

Overnight Feb. 16, someone took a GPS device and a bag of home care material from a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 600 block of Leo Drive.

A PlayStation game system and some game were taken overnight from a residence in the 800 block of Mark Avenue.

A work jacket and a pair of boots were taken overnight from a van parked in the 1100 block of Lane Street.

A checkbook was taken between Nov. 28 and Dec. 25 from a residence in the 800 block of Martin Avenue. The owner of the account said that several checks had been used to get cash. The theft was reported Feb. 24.

The front door brass handle was broken overnight at a vacant house in the 200 block of Cereal Avenue. The lock box with the key to the residence was also stolen but there was no entry made into the house.

Feb. 26

A burglary was reported 11:45 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 1700 block of Dixie Highway.

A report of menacing was made about 10 p.m. in the 800 block of Minor Avenue.

A bicycle and a 24-foot extension ladder were taken from the front porch between Feb. 24 and Feb. 26 in the 500 block of Fairview Avenue.

A purse was taken overnight from a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Campbell Avenue.

A catalytic converter was taken between Feb. 22 and Feb. 26 from a van parked at the Timberhill Baptist Church, 144 Timberhill Drive, Hamilton.

A man reported being assaulted by an unknown number of Hispanics about 3:24 a.m. in the area near Maple Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

A resident in the 1800 block of Pleasant Avenue reported someone ransacked her car about 2:30 a.m.

A window was broken about 2:30 a.m. at a residence in the 200 block of Walnut Street.

A GPS device was taken overnight from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 500 block of Fitton Avenue.

A purse was taken between 10 p.m. Feb. 25 and 1:48 a.m. from a residence in the 1600 block of See Avenue. The purse contained $50 cash, a bank card, personal identification, some Redbox DVDs and a digital camera.

Feb. 27

A break-in was reported about 5:20 a.m. at the Towne Pub, 341 S. B St. Damage to the front door was reported at $600.

An overnight burglary was reported in the 1200 block of Dayton Street. Entry was made by pushing on the bottom window causing the listed damage. A handbook, a radio faceplate, an electronic book, a check book, an address book and a voice recorder were taken.
