BCSO: No suspects in drive-by shooting

Butler County Sheriff’s Office deputies have no suspects in a drive-by shooting that injured four people, including two children, an official said.

Sgt. Kim Peters said the sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the shooting but there have been no arrests.

On Tuesday night, four people in one vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries during a drive-by shooting on in the 4800 block Augspurger Road. The victim’s car was traveling west on Augspurger Road at about 11:40 p.m. when the suspect’s vehicle approached from behind and proceeded to pass. As it did, multiple shots were fired from a rifle at the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle.

The 25-year-old male driver from Middletown sustained a non-life threatening injury to his hand and the 25-year-old female passenger from Middletown suffered minor injuries from shattered glass.

The driver was transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital.

A 7-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy sitting in the back seat sustained minor injuries from the broken glass.

EMS from St. Clair Twp. and Trenton responded to the scene.
