Clouds expected today, thunderstorms ahead as week begins

The work week is starting off with sunny skies and a high of 65 today, but rougher weather is expected Tuesday.

The National Weather Service’s hazardous weather outlook for Tuesday includes the possibility for strong to severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and into the evening. The biggest threats call for damaging winds and hail, but NWS meteorologists also could not rule out isolated tornadoes.

Tuesday, the high will dip into the low 70s.

Showers will end by Wednesday morning, and it will become mostly cloudy with a high of 71.

Temperatures drop Thursday, when the high is expected to be about 53 despite some afternoon sunshine.
