A 22-year-old man was shot and killed inside a car at Meadow Ridge Apartments in West Chester on Thursday, and no suspect has been identified.

Apartment residents told media at the scene Friday they are concerned about their safety after Keshon Sanders, 22, was found in his car with a gunshot wound. He died after being taken to West Chester UC hospital, the Butler County coroner said.

Police were called around 5:20 p.m. to the 5000 block of Aster Park Drive and found Sanders fatally wounded in a vehicle, according to Barb Wilson, township spokeswoman.

An investigation is ongoing.

West Chester Twp. officials said this is the second homicide investigation in the township this year. The first on May 28 was determined to be self-defense after a Timberrail Court homeowner shot and killed an intruder.
