FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield restaurant and bar may be the place to make memories and relive some of the old days.

Memories Sports Bar, 6679 Dixie Highway, has old pictures and sports memorabilia hanging from its walls. Elvis Presley and Al Pacino photographs are just two familiar faces guests may recognize.

Owner Fred Ellison said the sports bar sees many regulars on a daily basis.

The menu includes standards such as burgers, wings and fries. Ellison said the most famous item on the menu is the Buster Burger — a half-pound ground beef burger topped with ham, tomatoes, lettuce and pickles. Other bar attractions include a daily happy hour, a power hour and entertainment.

Ellison said there are “specials beyond specials.” The power hour, from 5 to 6 p.m., offers discounted bottled beer and a happy hour, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., has discounted beer and $1 off liquor, he said.

On Fridays and Saturdays, a DJ plays music, mostly hip-hop, Ellison said. “There’s not another place in Fairfield that does that,” he said. The restaurant also has a dance floor.

Ellison is looking to expand with a new restaurant called Busters in mid-December. It will be near the Bypass Ohio 4 and Tylersville Road intersection. He plans to serve burgers and sliders, oversized soft pretzels and appetizers, such as poppers and wings.

“I’ve been looking for another place to open up in the area,” he said. “It’s an up and coming area, and I just thought it was a good location.”
