OVERNIGHT: Mainly clear skies give way to more clouds before morning. Dry weather will persist, with high pressure in control. It will be a chilly night with lows in the middle 40s, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said Monday night.

TUESDAY: Children will need to wear a few extra layers to start the day as temperatures will be in the 40s early before a warming trend takes hold through the day. Highs will climb to above normal, around 70 degrees. It'll remain dry with sun and some scattered clouds. Skies will clear out tonight, but it won't be as chilly as previous nights with lows around 50 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: d Dry with lots of sunshine to start the day. An approaching cold front from the northwest will bring some added cloud cover into the afternoon. Daytime highs will climb into the middle 70s. Winds increase and scattered showers arrive with the front into the late evening and overnight. Severe weather is not expected, but a rumble of thunder is possible. Showers will spread from northwest to southeast through the night and linger into Thursday morning.

THURSDAY: Few showers possible early, but will end to the southeast before midday. Partly sunny skies and breezy at times for the afternoon. Temperatures on the cooler side with highs in the middle 60s. It will feel cooler because of the cloud cover and breezy conditions.

FRIDAY: Not a bad finish to the work week. More sunshine with a few clouds. Seasonal highs in the middle 60s.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy and milder with highs in the low 70s.
