He said the selection committee will meet Tuesday to discuss who should be interviewed. Sander declined to say who’s on the committee.
The AD list includes 16 names, and the coaching list includes 35 names. Three individuals are applying for both jobs: Douglas Blattner, Sean McCormick and Steve Woods.
The school did not release the hometowns or current positions of the applicants, but there are some familiar names on both lists.
Among the AD applicants are Franklin head coaches Brian Bales (boys basketball) and Jake Long (baseball), former FHS head football coach John Aregood and Greater Catholic League Coed Division commissioner Matthew Koenig.
Woods is one of three current Franklin assistant coaches applying for the head football position. Brad Childers and Josh Wulff are the others.
Numerous men with head coaching experience are among the football applicants, including former Centerville coach Ron Ullery, Northwest coach Nate Mahon, former Wilmington coach Rob Vida and University of Dayton assistant Jason Schondelmyer, the former head man at Arcanum and Versailles.
