Ross High School graduate Simon Stepaniak benefited from the Green Bay Packers’ run on offensive linemen in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.

The Packers selected Stepaniak, a guard from Indiana University, at No. 209 overall after they took two other linemen at No. 192 and No. 208.

Stepaniak was considered the top offensive lineman in Ohio at the Division III level as a junior and senior at Ross and went on to a productive career with the Hoosiers. He started two of 12 games at right guard as a redshirt freshman in 2016, but missed six games the following year because of injury.

Back to full health in 2018, he started all 12 games and then became an honorable mention All-Big Ten pick as a senior while starting 11 games.
