What’s new after Hamilton hotel’s $1.4M renovation

In an attempt to thwart the competition, the Courtyard by Marriott Hamilton has just completed a $1.4 million renovation project.

“When you look at the fact that you have 500 to 600 new rooms in West Chester right now and the fact that there is so much over there, we realize it is time for a fresh coat of paint and time to add some of the things you see with amenities in new hotels,” General Manager Shawn Stidham said.

Here are some of the added amenities at the hotel that has 120 rooms and 7,000 square feet of meeting space.

1. A more ‘inviting’ look

Stidham said Hamilton’s only hotel now has a more “inviting” look.

“That was the idea to have a more inviting feel because we can have more guests come in and socialize or anyone who wants to come in and have a drink,” Stidham said.

2. New furnishings

New furniture, carpeting and televisions have been installed in the lobby.

“This area allows for business meetings or interviews or impromptu gatherings,” Stidham said.

3. A football viewing area

“We also have an area that people can watch football games because Courtyard is the official hotel of the NFL,” Stidham said.

4. Modern look for ballroom

The swimming pool area/workout room and outside lounge area have been upgraded, and the ballroom has been given a new look.

“The ballroom has undergone a dramatic renovation,” Stidham said. “It has an entirely new modern look and we have been getting great feedback from guests. It is a little more in touch with the times.”

5. Renovated guest rooms

The renovated guest rooms are full of modern amenities, including the ability for guests to connect to their own Netflix account free of charge and access more Internet bandwidth.
