The boil advisory issued Wednesday by the city of Hamilton has been lifted.

Water sampling indicates the water supply is safe for human consumption, according to the city.

INITIAL REPORT, June 28:

The city of Hamilton has issued a water boiling advisory for all customers on the following streets:

  • Edison Avenue from East Avenue to South Erie Boulevard
  • East Avenue
  • South 11th Street
  • South 12th Street
  • South 13th Street
  • South Erie Boulevard between Edison Avenue and Grand Boulevard

Grand Boulevard is not included in the boil advisory, according to the city

On Monday, a water valve was replaced and a manhole was set as part of the South Hamilton Crossing Project, according to the city. In doing so, water was shut down, which caused a partial depressurization of the system.

During this advisory, the city says water customers should vigorously boil water for a least one full minute after water begins to bubble.
