Warren County man gets 6 years in prison for sexual assaults on juveniles

A Carlisle man has been sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted of sexual assault charges.

In addition to the jail term, Orland Helton, 39, was also ordered to register as Tier II sex offender, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

Helton was found guilty by a Warren County jury of two felony counts of gross sexual imposition for the sexual assaults of two juvenile females who were left in his care.

Warren County Commons Pleas Judge Timothy Tepe also ordered Helton to have no contact with any minor children.

From June 2016 to May 2017, Helton sexually assaulted the juveniles in his Carlisle home. On numerous occasions, Helton would fondle the juveniles under a blanket so no one else could see, according to prosecutors.

Helton told the juveniles not to report the incidents. The juveniles eventually reported the incidents to their mother, who contacted police.
