TRAFFIC ALERT: Wires knocked down at Union Centre, causing traffic delays

Traffic signal wires were knocked down this morning at the Union Centre Boulevard exit ramp from northbound Interstate 75, which is causing traffic delays, according to West Chester Twp.’s spokesperson.

No one was injured in the incident, but it caused the exit ramp to be temporarily closed. Flaggers are now directing traffic, but spokeswoman Barb Wilson said the ramp will closed while crews raise the wires.

She said it isn’t certain how long the signals will be restored to working order.

Motorists should consider an alternate route, according to township officials and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

“The goal is to get everything open as quickly as we can,” Wilson said.
