Tonight is your chance to meet candidates for Franklin offices

A public meet and greet will take place tonight featuring candidates for Franklin City Council, Franklin Board of Education, Franklin Municipal Court judge and Franklin Twp. trustee.

The event will not be a debate or a structured question-and-answer forum, according to Franklin Twp. Administrator Traci Stivers. Instead, candidates will be given about three minutes to introduce themselves.

Following the introductions, the audience will be free to seek out the candidates they are interested in talking with more.

All candidates have been invited, but there is no guarantee of their attendance, Stivers said.

In addition, interim Franklin Twp. Fire Chief Keith Jennings will be available to answer questions about the township’s proposed 4.31-mill additional, continuing fire levy.

The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Deardoff Senior Center, 605 S. River St., in Franklin.
