Tea Party to host rally against gun control laws

The Cincinnati Tea Party is sponsoring a Day of Resistance rally from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, on The Square @ Union Centre.

Julie Buck, a tea party member, said the local rally is just one of many nationwide being held in response to proposed gun control laws.

“It’s to protect the second amendment and taking a stand against gun control laws trying to be passed,” Buck said. “The laws aren’t focusing on the right problem. The proposed laws will impact law abiding citizens and aren’t focused on the criminals breaking the law.”

Buck said the rally in West Chester Twp. will include musical entertainment and at least three speakers: K.Carl Smith, a national activist for liberty and freedom; Franklin County, Indiana Commissioner Scott McDonough; and Scott Landreth of the Ohio Tenth Amendment Center.
