A McDonald’s restaurant that was demolished after decades in business will re-open today in a new building.
The fast food giant returned to 101 Garver Road in Monroe with an 11 a.m. opening that followed a ribbon-cutting ceremony. A grand opening celebration slated for Friday will feature giveaways and entertainment.

Located just off Interstate 75’s Ohio 63 exit, the new building is approximately 4,900 square feet. It replaces a structure that was built in 1981 but ceased operations in early June.
