Police: Jewelry stolen from high school rotunda before fundraiser raffle

A piece of jewelry donated to a fundraiser at the April 13 Kiwanis Pancake Day/F.R.E.S.H. Air Fair event at Talawanda High School was stolen from the display in the school’s southern rotunda.

The crossover floral pattern wire item donated by John Darlin was displayed in a small red jewelry box in front of a brown paper bag where those interested in the prize could place their ticket for the drawing. Value was listed at $82.

The item was discovered missing at 10:50 a.m. The booth had been set up between 6 and 6:30 a.m.

The officer taking the report has requested video surveillance footage of the rotunda area be preserved as possible evidence.
