Luke Kennard, when he was a Franklin High School senior in 2015, stands next to one of the signs that have been installed on roads entering the city of Franklin. Two of the signs were stolen in early 2017 after Kennard announced he would forge his final two years at Duke University and was entering the NBA draft. City officials took down the signs to prevent additional thefts and has just recently re-erected three of the signs. NICK GRAHAM/FILE

Franklin High School announced last week that it will retire the basketball number of former standout Luke Kennard, now an NBA player.
