Detroit Pistons guard Luke Kennard will play the next NBA season on the West Coast as he was traded Wednesday to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Pistons traded 23-year-old Franklin native to the Clippers for the No. 19 pick in Wednesday’s NBA Draft. Detroit drafted Villanova’s Saddiq Bey.
Detroit selected Kennard, who left Duke early, with the No. 12 pick in 2017.
Kennard was a McDonald’s All-American and two-time Ohio Mr. Basketball.
