“In a crowded field, Warren Davidson stands out as the premier economic conservative,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh, who called him “a true conservative outsider.”

McIntosh said while Warren has served his country and “holds a resolute commitment to free markets,” he’s never held an elected office “so he hasn’t voted for a tax increase, a big-spending budget or an expansion of Obamacare.”

Club for Growth is based in Washington, D.C.

This announcement comes after two state lawmakers seeking the congressional seat also landed recent endorsements.

Rep. Tim Derickson, R-Hanover Twp., who's seen by many as a front-runner in the race, was endorsed by Ohio Sen. Chris Widener, and all but one Butler County county-level and state-level elected official. Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones has not made any endorsement announcements.

Sen. Bill Beagle, R-Tipp City, who's also seen by many as a front-runner, was recently endorsed by a couple Ohio GOP Central Committee members.
