Officials announce results of Butler County OVI checkpoint last night

A Butler County OVI checkpoint netted one citation Friday night.

Pete Reising, Butler County OVI Task Force coordinator, said 368 vehicles were checked in both directions at the sobriety checkpoint between 11 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday in the 3200-block of Roosevelt Boulevard in Middletown.

Reising said six vehicles were diverted for further investigation and one person was cited for not having a driver license during the checkpoint.

Officers, Butler County Sheriff’s deputies and state troopers were also conducting saturation patrols during the checkpoint hours.
